YOUNG KNIGHTS OF
ERRANTRY: AN APOSTOLATE OF THE CONFRATERNITY OF
PENITENTS

History has proven that a bad idea can influence
and subvert the hearts and minds of people
everywhere and that children are not immune from
its persuasion. The philosophy of relativism has
an adverse effect on faith and morals and is
indifferent to personal behavior. The way to
overcome a bad idea is with prayer joined with a
good idea. The concept of a good idea starts by
teaching young men and women that faith and
morals make a difference and that it is a noble
commitment to live by moral precepts.
The Young Knights of Errantry is a new
organization for young people ages 7 to 18 who
are willing to try to make a positive difference
in the world. Young Knights of Errantry learn
that they can change the world for the better by
the good example of their actions, thus helping
to transform society from a “culture of death”
into a culture of life. When Young Knights
mature into adults, they live by their oath of
honor, as a Knight, as they continue to serve
the Lord and humanity with the honor and courage
of a Knight of Errantry.
Neither Young
Knights Errant nor their leaders, called Knights
Errant, need to be members of the Confraternity
of Penitents. Much as many religious Orders work
with the homeless, run soup kitchens, care for
the sick, or teach in schools, the Confraternity is organizing
and promoting the Young Knights as an apostolate
to others.
